Ao Po Grand Marina

At the entrance of the breathtaking Phang Nga Bay

LocationStarting point

Situated at the entrance of the breathtaking Phang Nga Bay, Ao Po Grand Marina enjoys an ideal location. What's even better is its round-the-clock accessibility and complete freedom from tide limitations. Visitors at the Marina can take advantage of a wide range of services, from the marina itself to nearby restaurants, bars, stores, and even five-star hotels. Marine tours departing from Ao Po Grand Marina take tourists to the adjacent islands of Phi Phi, James Bond Island, and the Similan Islands, all of which are known for their stunning natural beauty and good snorkeling and diving.

Day 1 - Koh Yao Noi
Day 1

Koh Yao Noi

Tranquil setting with breathtaking coastal vistas

Distance0nm

Escape the throngs of tourists and rejuvenate in Koh Yao Noi's tranquil setting and breathtaking coastal vistas. Rent a scooter and zip about the island, waving to farmers and tourists alike as you go. Get your blood pounding with some rock climbing or hit the sea for some swimming, diving, or snorkeling. Stop by the Big Tree, a 100-plus-meter-tall ancient tree that looks out over the jungle like a sentinel. Try some yoga and meditation, or get in shape with a Muay Thai lesson. Visit the Sea Gypsy (Chao Lay) settlement and see their floating village for yourself. They have their own diner where they offer up tasty dishes made with ingredients from around town.

Day 2 - Ko Hong
Day 2

Ko Hong

Small island with boundless allure

Distance5nm

Nestled between Koh Yao Noi and Krabi, the captivating Koh Hong awaits, a small island with boundless allure. It offers two enclosed beaches and a bay reminiscent of Phi Phi Island's famous Maya Bay. Its impressive limestone formations, white sandy beach, and the secluded Hong Lagoon make it a must-visit spot. Beneath the waves, a colorful aquatic realm awaits snorkelers. Climbing the stairs to Ko Hong Viewpoint rewards visitors with a breathtaking panorama of vertical limestone cliffs emerging from the sea. Amidst the island's lively atmosphere, its timeless beauty remains—an irresistible treasure for intrepid adventurers.

Day 3 - Ao Nang
Day 3

Ao Nang

Gateway to captivating underwater destinations

Distance2nm

A perfect tropical sanctuary right by the shoreline, Ao Nang presents itself as a gateway to captivating underwater destinations around the neighboring islands. A popular starting point for boat cruises to the beaches of nearby limestone islands such Ko Hong, Ko Poda, and Ko Ngai. The King Cruiser wreck, Koh Phi Phi, and Koh Haa Yai are just a few of the world-famous diving sites that departs daily from this busy hub. It was packed with sightseers, but the area is gorgeous, with several excellent restaurants and relaxing seafront cafes. Ao Nang has Krabi's liveliest nightlife, and most of it is located around or near the beach, making it a great place to spend the evening with friends.

Day 4 - Phi Phi Islands
Day 4

Phi Phi Islands

An internationally famous beach

Distance18nm

Charter a yacht and cruise around the breathtaking Phi Phi Islands, where you can witness towering cliffs and crystal-clear waters. There are many beautiful beaches in Thailand, but Maya Bay on Phi Phi Island became internationally famous after appearing in the movie The Beach. The uninhabited islands are a haven for snorkelers and scuba divers, as they are home to numerous pristine spots to enjoy these activities. Take in the natural, unaltered beauty of these amazing landmarks and savour every moment.

Day 5 - Kata Beach
Day 5

Kata Beach

Golden shores and azure water

Distance29nm

The longest and loveliest beach in Phuket, stretching for a full 1.5 kilometers of pure bliss. Kata Beach has it all: golden shores, azure water, sunbathing, relaxation, surfing, snorkeling, family fun, and more. The majority of the beach is a serene, family-friendly destination, but there are also exciting nightlife options. Several beachside restaurants and cafes offer al fresco dining, but the action moves to the opposite street where discos, karaoke joints, and more awaits. There are so many excellent restaurants nearby that the only problem will be that you won't have enough time to sample them all. Its plethora of thrilling activities, attractions, and sights has made it an instant favorite with travelers from all over the world.

Day 6 - Kamala Beach
Day 6

Kamala Beach

The perfect option for those seeking a calm getaway

Distance8nm

The peaceful atmosphere of Kamala Beach makes it a perfect option for those seeking a calm getaway. New top-tier hotels and resorts have played a vital role in the area's rapid rise as a leading family getaway and a popular choice among seniors and other long-term travelers. Watching local fishermen casting their nets on the water is a reminder of the beach's history as a quiet fishing community. The majority of hotels are located in the southern region, and many of them include restaurants serving a variety of Thai and international dishes. Several good eateries are just a short walk from the beach. Menu favorites include chicken satay, zesty salads, delicious curries, and traditional desserts. Café del Mar Phuket and HQ Beach Lounge stand out as two upscale beach clubs with renowned international cuisine.

Day 7 - Ko Racha Yai
Day 7

Ko Racha Yai

A hotspot for scuba divers and snorkelers

Distance22nm

A picture-perfect island famed for its immaculate white-sand shores, clear blue waters, and flourishing coral reefs. Koh Racha Yai, also known as Koh Raya Yai, is a hotspot for scuba divers and snorkelers alike due to the abundance of sites appropriate for beginners to specialists. The island's major beach is Ao Tawan Tok or Ao Bungalow. There are few resorts and restaurants in the area, including the five-star The Racha Bungalow Resort. Ao Bungalow can get crowded in the afternoons because Racha Yai, like many of the neighboring islands, is a popular tourist destination. There aren't many places to go out late at night and due to the absence of artificial light, the beach at night is a perfect place for stargazing.

Day 7 - Ao Yon Beach
Day 7

Ao Yon Beach

Filled with uncrowded beaches

Distance13nm

Ao Yon's modest harbor offers two tiny beaches separated by steep headlands. Ao Yon Junior is one of the most calm, scenic, and uncrowded beaches on the island. From here, you can see Chalong Bay and Lone Island in all their glory. Ao Yon Senior, located beyond the nearby rocky hills, is a beach with smooth, white sand, large coconut trees for shade, and clear, blue water that sparkles in the sunlight. The beach is ideal for spending the day sunbathing, swimming, and picnicking. Swimming near pearl farms is prohibited, as is snorkeling. If you're looking for a little excitement, however, there's a waterfall to the west with cold, invigorating water pouring from the mountains. Ao Yon Senior is an excellent site to anchor your boat in addition to being the location of Phuket Yacht Club. As a result, the harbor is packed with yachts, and there are events for local children on weekends.
