A Dazzling Hidden Jewel of the Dodecanese

Located in the southern Dodecanese area, Symi is a Greek island that blends neoclassical charm with untouched natural beauty. Chartering in Symi offers a picture-perfect view with its pastel-hued mansions and deep-blue harbour. Beyond that, Symi is known for its secluded coves, rich maritime history, and world-class cuisine. And yet, it remains one of Greece’s best-kept secrets, making it the perfect destination for a luxurious yachting trip that blends culture and unspoiled nature.

Gialos Harbour is Symi’s main port of entry. It is known for its bustling beachfront, lined with restaurants, shops, and cafes. It also features stunning neoclassical villas framing the coastline. From here, navigate the island’s crystal-clear waters, stopping at secluded beaches like Agios Georgios Dysalonas, famed for its 300-meter cliffs, or the unspoiled shores of Nanou and Marathounda, which is only accessible by boat. Or visit the Panormitis Monastery, a centuries-old sanctuary dedicated to Archangel Michael, where Byzantine relics and sacred artefacts tell the island’s deep-rooted history. In the evenings, guests can indulge in Symi’s renowned seafood, with flash-fried shrimp and locally sourced octopus taking centre stage at harborside tavernas like Tholos. For an off-the-beaten-path adventure, venture to the upper town of Chorio via the historic Kali Strata steps to take a glimpse into the traditional island life.
