Sint Eustatius: Once known as the "Golden Rock"

Step back in time as you step on the lands of Sint Eustatius, affectionately known as Statia. Once a bustling port and the jewel of the Caribbean, this destination is now an oasis of divine waterfronts, luxuriant hills, and an unspoiled atmosphere perfect for a yacht getaway. Doesn’t matter if you’re anchored offshore or exploring on land, Statia’s history and natural beauty is sure to captivate.

Part of the former Netherlands Antilles, Sint Eustatius proudly preserves its Dutch heritage. A luxury yacht charter here feels like stepping into a bygone era, surrounded by varied peaks, valleys, and historical landmarks. One standout is the partially restored Dutch Reformed Church, built in 1775. Its stone arches provide a striking frame for views of the sea.

The island’s charm is concentrated in its only town, Oranjestad, which is divided into the Upper Town and Lower Town. Upper Town sits atop dramatic cliffs, overlooking the postcard-perfect Lower Town and the iconic Fort Oranje. Colonial-style cottages, lined with palm trees and surrounded by verdant hills, add to the island’s distinctive character. Enjoy breathtaking views of the area while sipping on local “Fruit Tea”.

Sint Eustatius is a dream destination for underwater explorers too. The island’s waters are home to divine ecosystems, including coral reefs, shipwrecks, and volcanic formations. You may go exploring underwater walls or spotting turtles and manta rays gliding gracefully beneath the surface. A diving excursion here is sure to add a thrilling element to any Caribbean yacht charter.
