A Country That Feels Like Heaven on Earth

Welcome to Seychelles! The land of perpetual summer! This tiny island nation is home to 115 islands scattered across the Indian Ocean, providing an unmatched yachting experience that blends adventure and serenity. With its granite peaks, soft sand beaches, colourful reefs, and warm locals, Seychelles will capture your heart and soul.

Located about 1,000 miles off the coast of Africa, the islands are divided into two: the Inner Islands and the Outer Islands. About 98% of the population lives in the Inner Islands, particularly in the main islands, Mahe, Praslin, and La Digue. The Inner Islands are made of granite, with the exception of Bird Island and Denis Island, which are coral islands. The Outer Islands are also called Coralline Seychelles because they are all composed of coral atolls. All together, these islands offer endless opportunities for remote exploration, with only the sounds of nature.

Mahe is the largest island and home to the capital, Victoria. Despite being one of the world’s smallest capitals, Victoria is bustling and modern. It is filled with charming shops and lively markets selling fresh local produce. With a mix of French, British, and African influences, explore and admire its colourful Creole streets. Mahe also serves as a gateway to Seychelles’ marine parks. Just off the coast of Maje, Sainte Anne Marine Park, one of Seychelles’ six marine parks, offers excellent snorkelling and diving spots with its colourful array of corals and endemic wildlife.

Northeast of Mahe, Praslin is known for its white-sand beaches and granite rock formations. The famed Anse Lazio, which frequently tops world rankings of best beaches, is also located on this stylish island. Praslin’s highland is home to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Vallée de Mai, which is the only place on Earth where the wild coco de mer palm grows.

Just a short cruise from Praslin, La Digue offers a zen paradise. Its tropical wonderland is pure and tranquil, like stepping back into a state of nature. The Anse Source d’Argent, La Digue’s most famous destination, has pink-hued sands and dramatic granite boulders, ideal for basking and capturing the perfect picture.

Off to the Outer Islands, Aldabra Atoll is a jewel with unparalleled allure. Known as “Tortoise Island,” this UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to the largest population of giant tortoises, over 150,000! Its surrounding bays are made up of unspoiled reefs, mangrove forests, and beaches, making it perfect for kayaking, snorkelling, and diving in isolation.
